Cedar Point Announces Exciting Holiday Activities
Summer is long gone, but Cedar Point is still keeping active during the holiday months. For a second year, the park is holding their Season of Joy festivities at Cedar Point’s Sawmill Creek Resort. The Cedar Point holiday activities will take place on select days from Nov. 17 through Dec. 31. It will offer beautiful displays, with thousands of dazzling lights, custom craft cocktails, live entertainment and more.

So, what’s new at Season of Joy this year? One new addition is what the park is billing as an “old-fashioned Christmas TV special” called “Fireside Family Christmas.” The offers a special look at how one family celebrates Christmas Eve. “Additional favorites like ‘The Mistletones’ and ‘Sawmill Carolers’ are set to provide a merry and bright Christmas soundtrack in all their pitch-perfect harmonies,” the park states. For a small fee, guests are also invited to decorate Christmas cookies, learn how to create seasonally-inspired charcuterie presentations with Christmas Charcuterie and master the art of crafting Christmas libations with A Taste of the Season classes.
The Hideout is back this year, which Cedar Point calls a “festive Christmas pop-up bar serving up the spirit of Christmas with one-of-a-kind cocktails, hand-picked wines and craft beers.” What’s more, I’m a sucker for festival holiday drinks. Also, the Toast of the North Coast New Year’s Eve party will take place on Dec. 31, offering a live band, hand-crafted drinks, cuisine and more.
Castaway Christmas is also back. The year-round indoor waterpark hotel will be decked out for the holidays and offer interactive games, crafts, live performances by a steel drum band, holiday karaoke and a special ship lighting ceremony in the main lobby. “Families can create their own unique holiday ornaments and souvenirs, plus visit Santa and the Castaway Bay characters like Gordy the sea turtle and Flo the flamingo throughout their stay,” the part states.” They’ll also host a “Noon-Year’s Eve” celebration on Dec. 3 for the kids. Finally, Cedar Point’s Bay Harbor will offer nightly specials during the week.
