Michigan Spot Named Top Must-See City in America
Travel season is usually in the summer. That said, the holidays obviously bring a lot of travel to America and places around the world. That said, it’s not surprising that there’s an uptick in bookings over the holidays. Well, one Michigan destination has been named a top must-see city in America.
The list comes from Good Housekeeping‘s new 2024 Family Travel Awards. Of the awards, Good Housekeeping states, “Our team of travel agents, editors, engineers, scientists and product analysts thoroughly evaluated each submission, focusing on attributes such as quality, convenience, value, sustainability, inclusivity and more.” They also “enlisted the help of over 100 travel testers to try out the gear and services.” Those travel testers visited “cities, resorts, attractions and other destinations to help us choose these standout winners.”
Michigan Spot Named Top Must-See City in America
So, which Michigan spot has been named a top must-see city in America? Traverse City. Of the spot, the publication raves, “With a thriving downtown, family-friendly wineries and popular beach spots, small but mighty Traverse City (population about 15,500) is the travel equivalent of a triple threat.” This is so true. As for activities, Good Housekeeping says, “Your crew could be hunting for speckled Petoskey stones at the beach in the morning, spend an afternoon in the “secret garden” at the family-friendly Brys Estate Vineyard & Winery and then catch a show downtown at night.” For those with children, the magazine suggests that a great place to stay is the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, which offers four pools, two of which are indoors. They also give rave reviews to Traverse City for offering a bevy of activities for both for kids and adults. Who wouldn’t want to vacation in the cherry headquarters of the world?
