The Pioneer Woman Magazine recently published a list of the best Christmas Tree Farms in every state. In Michigan, you’ll have to travel to the southwestern part of the state to arrive at the best Christmas Tree farm in the area, according to their list. However, you will be in for a memorable experience that allows you to explore thousands of trees.
Each of the locations that Pioneer Woman named offers acres of fresh Christmas trees grown right onsite at the property. Then, you either cut down the tree of your choice or select one, which the staff takes down for you. “The best part is that you’ll be supporting a local farm, many of which have been in their families for generations,” they state. Your efforts give back to the local community, and it’s a great way to kick off a festive holiday season.

In Hartford, Tall Timbers Tree Farm
Located a short distance off I-94 (56245 70th Street), Tall Timbers Tree Farm has offered fresh-cut Christmas Trees for over 20 years. They also have designed a tree map to help customers navigate their extensive and impressive grounds.
The tree map shows a large area of Concolor firs up front by the barns. Then, you will come upon the tallest trees next. These are 10-15 foot Canaan Firs. 6-8 foot Canaan, Fraser, and White Pine trees are also available, planted a little deeper on the property. The trees are priced based on which type you select and how tall the tree is. They are measured by the foot.
In addition, Tall Timbers Tree Farm is quite popular for the aforementioned wreaths and garlands that they make. These holiday favorites come in a variety of sizes. Each are constructed using fresh greens and berries from the farm.
