New ‘Respect’ Trailer Drops Featuring Jennifer Hudson as Aretha Franklin
The folks behind the upcoming MGM film Respect have released a new featurette from the highly-anticipated Aretha Franklin biopic.
The clip gives viewers a preview of the show, which stars Jennifer Hudson as the Queen of Soul, plus some behind-the-scenes footage. Watch the full featurette below.
The new clip features Hudson, as well as actors Forest Whitaker (the Rev. C.L. Franklin), Marlon Wayans (Ted White) and Mary J. Blige (Dinah Washington).
Director Liesl Tommy and screenwriter Tracey Scott Wilson also appear in the teaser.
Respect will hit theaters Aug. 13.
