Is it just me, or are new sushi places popping up like crazy right now? I feel like every time I drive around, I see a new sushi place opening. I'm not a big sushi fan, but plenty of my friends can't get enough of the stuff, so I'm sure they're not complaining.

So, where do you get the best sushi in Michigan? The crew at Eat This, Not This! has conducted research to determine the best sushi place in Michigan. "Healthy, flavor-packed, and fun to eat—it's hard not to love sushi," they state in the study. "When looking for the best sushi options, you often crave slices of the freshest fish, perhaps treated with lemon juice or a splash of mirin. The fresher the fish, the less you have to do to it to make it taste good—and there is nothing better than sitting right at the bar and letting the chef serve up the catches of the day."

"We scoured reviews, talked to locals, and looked back on our own dining around the country to put together a definitive list of the best sushi across the United States," they added.

So, what place is on top in Michigan? According to the study, Adachi in Birmingham has the best sushi around. "This upscale restaurant, located in the historic Ford-Peabody mansion, serves a blend of Japanese and American cuisine, created by Nobu alum Lloyd Roberts," the publication states. "Choose from hamachi with serrano and yuzu truffle dressing or the hiroo roll with shrimp tempura. And don't miss the happy hour with well-priced maki rolls!" That sounds delicious, even for someone like me, who doesn't eat sushi (or fish!). Find the full list here. Of course, make sure to support all of Michigan's great sushi restaurants, since there are many deserving of your business.
