Famous Deli Chain Expanding Across Michigan
Michigan is a great place to set up shop and host a restaurant, since Michiganders love their eats. It seems like at least once a week, I see a news story about a new restaurant opening, sometimes local and sometimes a national chain coming into the state. Now, a famous deli chain is expanding across Michigan.
This spot already has locations in Lansing and Flint, but now, it’s making its way across the Mitten and moving to the Detroit area.
The fast-casual sandwich chain McAllister’s Deli has announced plans to open its first metro Detroit deli in Westland in 2023. McAllister’s recently got the necessary approvals from Westland’s city council to start building in March.
According to Hometownlife.com, the chain will be located at the corner of Warren Road and Central City Parkway, right across the street from Westland City Hall, and part of the city’s shop and dine district. The restaurant will offer a dine-in option, plus a pickup window for online orders. There will not be a drive-thru widow at the location.
McAllister’s is famous for its sandwiches, salads, soups and baked potatoes. It’s also known for its fast service, perfect for a quick lunch pickup. I’ve definitely been to McAllister’s a few times to snag a quick lunch or dinner item, especially their soups. McAllister’s currently has five additional locations in Michigan. The chain has roughly 500 restaurants in 28 states. Which restaurant chains would you like to see expand into your area? Reach out to us on social media and let us know.
