Michigan Restaurant to Appear on The Food Network This Week
Michigan has some great local restaurants, and The Food Network has been in the Great Lakes State many times to report on those fine establishments. It’s always exciting to see your neighborhood restaurant on national television, so it’s with great pleasure that I bring you the news that another favorite Michigan spot is going to be featured on The Food Network this week.
Guy Fieri has been in Michigan a lot lately. He’s brought his “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives” show to a bunch of spots in the past year, including Capital City BBQ, The Cosmos Wood-Fired Pizza, Joe’s Gizzard City and more.
Now, we can add one more restaurant to that list: Zaytoon Mediterranean Grill in Lansing, on the city’s west side. This isn’t the first time Zaytoon Mediterranean Grill has been on The Food Network, actually. Fieri was there about five years ago, with the famous personality highlighting the eatery’s popular shawarma on “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.” Now, Zaytoon is going to get the spotlight on a related program, “Triple D Nation.” The show is a spinoff of the original Triple D, which highlights restaurants that have already been on The Food Network to give them another push. The show will air this Friday (April 8) at 9 p.m., according to Zaytoon.
“Triple D Nation” was in Lansing last fall, stopping at not only Zaytoon, but also Meat BBQ in Old Town, Joe’s Gizzard City in Potterville and Eastside Fish Fry in Lansing. The episode on Eastside Fish Fry already aired, so Zaytoon’s is the second mid-Michigan eatery getting a slot. No word yet on when the episodes highlighting Joe’s Gizzard City and Meat BBQ will air.
Michigan has so many great restaurants, that it’s no big surprise that the state has been featured on The Food Network at bunch. Read below for a list of the restaurants that have been featured on “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives” that hail from the Mitten. Where would you like to see the network go next?
