Local 4 Anchor Evrod Cassimy Partners With Cass Tech H.S. To Showcase Student’s Talents
Evrod Cassimy, one of the talented morning anchors at WDIV Local 4 News, is an honorary Cass Tech student (diploma and all) because he believes in the vision of the school and students. He found out that the school’s fine arts department was in need and partnered with Cass to raise funds, and inspire the students.
The program is called NEWZIC and will showcase students in fine arts at Cass Tech including choir, dance, orchestra and band. Cassimy will also be performing songs from his debut album, “Newzic,” along with new songs from his latest album, “Just Evrod,” released on the same day.
Tickets are $20 for general admission and are 100% tax deductible and can be purchased online.. All proceeds will go to the Cass Tech Alumni Foundation to provide continuous support in all endeavors in fine arts.

I recently talked to Evrod along with three Cass Tech seniors and Fine Arts Teacher Patricia Hicks about the fundraiser and why it’s so important to them. And yes… Halloween was in full effect 😀
