In Case You Missed It: Hear Randi Myles’ Interview On BBC World News
Randi Myles was interviewed on BBC World News about this week’s memorial service for George Floyd and more.
“To tell you the truth, it’s bittersweet for me, because I grew up in Detroit,” Myles said on the show.
“I grew up watching protests and even riots in my own neighborhood, being a child of the ’60s and ’70s,” she continued, “so for me to be able to see this in real time, the murder of George Floyd and then the protests and then the riots, brings up a lot of different emotions for me.”
She added, “So, to be able to watch this on television, I’m not really sure, but I feel like it may feel like I did when Martin Luther King Jr. was killed.”
