Pastor Mike Jr. exploded onto the gospel song “Big” two years ago. But the Birmingham, Alabama pastor of the Rock City Church was clearly faithful over a few things before his quick rise.

I talked to the Stellar Award Winner and Dove Nominee about his journey, how he came up with the song “Amazing” and his participation in the NFL sanctioned Super Bowl Gospel Celebration singing with Ceelo Green.

The Super Bowl Gospel Celebration is produced by Melanie Few, the only woman and person of color that produces an NFL sanctioned event during Super Bowl week. Check out the Gospel Celebration Saturday, February 12th at 8pm ET/7pm CT on Bounce TV and for the very first time will stream on Prime Video and IMDb TV (no membership needed). The debut telecast will be followed by an encore on ION Sunday, February 13th at 12am ET.

Randi Myles is the mid-day host on Detroit’s Praise Network. Randi’s mom knew she was destined to be in some form of entertainment when even as a small child, she would pretend a pencil was a microphone and sing and charm family and friends. Later she would sing in church and college choirs. However, it wasn’t until she attended Specs Howard School of Media Arts, that Ms. Myles would find her true voice. Randi enjoys writing about the city of Detroit, faith, and the community.
