Here Are the Top 25 Public High Schools in Michigan
School is still starting up for the 2021-22 academic year, but the staff at Niche has already released its list of the best public high schools in Michigan for 2022.
Niche’s annual list of School Rankings for 2022 ranks the finest schools in every U.S. state. For the ranking, Niche looked at factors such as state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores, teacher quality and public school district ratings, among others.
In Michigan, the No. 1 high school is International Academy (Oakland Schools), followed by Troy High School, Novi High School, Northville High School and Washtenaw International High School (Ypsilanti). For public schools, Niche counted traditional, as well as charter and magnet schools in their list. For private high schools, the best schools in Michigan included Cranbrook (Bloomfield Hills), Detroit Country Day (Beverly Hills) and Greenhills (Ann Arbor).
