This Is the Best Dessert in Michigan
Confession time: Dessert is my favorite meal. Okay, dessert does not qualify as a meal, but I admit to making cookies and ice cream a major part of my diet. What’s not to love about a sweet, sugary treat once in a while?
Here in Michigan, we have plenty of fantastic places to picked up a tasty dessert. From blueberry pie to walnut-filled brownies to chocolate-chip cookies, this state offers plenty of treats at local bakeries. So, what is the best dessert in the entire state?
The crew at Eat This, Not This! has done the research to find the best dessert in the state. I would be thrilled to do that research for them, if it’s every needed, by the way. “When it comes to satisfying your sweet tooth, you’re likely always looking for the freshest ingredients, great vibes, local ownership, and a spot that has a loyal local fan base,” they state in the study. “With that in mind, we scoured reviews, talked to locals, and even looked back on our own travels around the country to put together a definitive list of the best desserts across the U.S.”
So, what’s the best dessert in Michigan? Waffle Pops at Street Sweets in Sterling Heights. “This choose-your-own-adventure sweet starts with a regular, chocolate, or red velvet waffle on a stick,” the publication states. “You can load it up with anything from like birthday cake Oreos to Butterfingers. Street Sweets also leans into its heritage and offers delicious Middle Eastern sweets, including heavenly baklava. Can’t go wrong with any of these menu items!” That sounds absolutely delicious. I’ve never been to Street Sweets, but now I’m making it a point to get there this summer. For more information, go here.
