Donald Lawrence Releases New Music Honoring Twinkie Clark

Nashville, TN (March 31, 2023) – Award-winning producer, songwriter and recording artist Donald Lawrence has released a new single and music video in celebration of the artistry of pioneering gospel writer and award-winning legend, Twinkie Clark.

“In Him There Is No Sorrow” is the first single from Donald Lawrence’s upcoming album highlighting Twinkie Clark’s early solo work with reimagined covers of her songs. Of course, Twinkie’s award-winning songs are part of the historic and Detroit’s own Clark Sisters… as well as her work as a solo artist. Clark’s music remains an influence on gospel artists today.

Donald Lawrence’s abounding career has given him multiple nods, including GRAMMY®, Stellar, and Dove Awards. Over the last few decades, he has part of shaping the sounds of The Clark Sisters and their solo endeavors. Lawrence   was also the music director for the 2020 Lifetime movie biopic, “The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel,” as well as the producer for the movie’s soundtrack.

Randi Myles is the mid-day host on Detroit’s Praise Network. Randi’s mom knew she was destined to be in some form of entertainment when even as a small child, she would pretend a pencil was a microphone and sing and charm family and friends. Later she would sing in church and college choirs. However, it wasn’t until she attended Specs Howard School of Media Arts, that Ms. Myles would find her true voice. Randi enjoys writing about the city of Detroit, faith, and the community.
