Michelle Obama Talks About Coping With ‘Low-Grade Depression’ During the Pandemic
Former First Lady Michelle Obama released the second installment of her podcast on Spotify.
While talking with Michele Norris of NPR’s All Things Considered, Obama admitted she has been dealing with a low-grade depression during the quarantine.
We’ve all been dealing with a lot of change in our lives and our communities. And I couldn't think of anyone better to talk to about this moment then my friend, @michele_norris. You can listen now on @Spotify: https://t.co/9GyFmLFAid #MichelleObamaPodcast pic.twitter.com/fmdOuJlsRO

She said her depression is a combination of being in quarantine and seeing the racial unrest in the country and how the current administration is handling it. She admitted some days even weeks she has not felt like doing things like working out and she has learned not to be hard on herself when she feels that way.
But the former First Lady said having a routine was important to her to help her cope and doing things with the family has helped as well.
