Last-Minute Voting Information
The big week is here. Get ready to rock the vote.
If you have an absentee ballot and haven’t turned it in yet, it’s too late to mail it. The ballots have to be received by 8 p.m. ET tomorrow (Nov. 3). Instead, drop off your ballot at your clerk’s office or a drop box in the city in which you are registered to vote.
If you have requested an absentee ballot but it has not arrived in the mail yet, the Secretary of State’s office says, “You can go to your city or township clerk’s office, spoil it and get a new one but you must do so by 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2. Another option is you may go to the polls on Nov. 3, sign a statement and vote.”
If you want to vote early but never requested an absentee ballot, according to the Secretary of State’s office, “You must make your request in person at your local city or township clerk office before 4 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2020. You’ll be able to fill out and submit your ballot while there.”
Clerk’s offices are open today throughout the state of Michigan, and drop boxes are also available for you to drop off your ballots early.
