Pastor Charles Stanley’s grandson announced that days after the passing of the famous preacher, he went through his office and picked some personal memorabilia that he decided to auction on Ebay to pay bills.  An engraved pocket watch sold for $2,375.00 and a signed picture sold for $3,650.0, but the backlash was immediate. According to deseret.com, Matt Broderson apologized on YouTube saying, “I was thinking about me, me, me, and, ‘Can I get some money please so that I can pay my bills’”

I messed up

Auctioning my grandpa's stuff wasn't the smartest idea after all...I've done some dumb things before but now I'm in the news so this is a whole new low...Oh ...

Broderson went on to admit in the video that, “A lot of people I love, a lot of people I care about, a lot of people who are very close to me have pointed out that this is disgusting behavior. And there are a lot of people on YouTube who have said, ‘This is crazy. You should have just waited.’ So, I just want to go on the record to say I admit I shouldn’t have done that.”
