This Black History Maker is the Youngest Black Female Pilot for a Commercial Airlines
24-years old Miracle Izuchukwu will soon make history when she officially becomes part of the 1% of Black female pilots for major commercial airlines around the world. The New Yorker is currently in training to become a commercial airline pilot and shares her journey on social media.
Miracle, whose parents are Nigerian, says that when she told her father about her plans, he told her that “if he gets on a plane and sees a woman as the pilot, he would get off the plane.” She admits she uses discouragement as fuel to succeed, earning her private pilot’s license in 2021 and moving forward with her commercial airlines training.

Randi Myles is the mid-day host on Detroit’s Praise Network. Randi’s mom knew she was destined to be in some form of entertainment when even as a small child, she would pretend a pencil was a microphone and sing and charm family and friends. Later she would sing in church and college choirs. However, it wasn’t until she attended Specs Howard School of Media Arts, that Ms. Myles would find her true voice. Randi enjoys writing about the city of Detroit, faith, and the community.
