What If Marvin Sapp Were An R&B Singer?
Bishop Marvin Sapp explores that notion in a new EP aptly called, If I Were An R&B Singer, released on February 14, 2025.
Marvin was pulled aside by his mother when she saw that he was leaning to the secular side and gave him the “what for” by telling him to choose gospel or R&B because, “You can’t do both.” Of course, we all know what Bishop Sapp chose based on his Grammy, Stellar, BET, NAACP and Soul Train Awards all for his gospel music.
According to his social media, Sapp said, “It’s a thing I’m never doing again, so you might wanna grab this while you can.”
What If Marvin Sapp Were An R&B Singer?
The four love song EP was written and produced by Kolton Perrine, who received strict instructions from Marvin on integrity, and reverence to God. Perrine delivered, and so did Marvin. Sapp says you have to listen to each song in order to get the full impact. I agree! It’s a beautiful EP for you and your loved one and for singles who love God and R&B! (Dallas Observer)
Grab, If I Were An R&B Singer wherever you stream your music while you can because like Marvin Sapp said, “it’s a limited-edition EP, so check it out while it’s here!”
Okay Bishop… this is my favorite from If I Were An R&B Singer!
